Thanks to John for the following hint regarding the process of signing up to Paypal: Paypal was easy once I got it set up in English. The hardest part was finding Paypal's telephone number. As soon as I logged in in English, it switched to Japanese. I telephoned 03-6739-7360. The girl who answered spoke perfect English. She told me my default language was Japanese, which it probably is for everyone with a Japanese address. In less then a minute she set my default language to English and then it was easy.

falling off the radar?
Hi there,
This is a message to a couple people who have been in touch with me ONCE about items that they wanted from my blog. I'm not sure if you got my reply/replies because I have heard nothing back from you since I replied to your one inquiry in which you stated you wanted the item and would pay the delivery. I do not want to ship the item(s) you were interested in without another confirmation from you that you want to pay the COD charge that I estimated and emailed to you. Even though the delivery charge will be paid by you and if you decline the package we will be here to be charged double by the delivery company, I do not want to leave the delivery company on the hook for the expense.
Please check your spam folder if you think I have not replied to you--this is where most of the communication break downs occur--and add my email address to your contacts so we can maintain good communication. We only have a couple more days in our home and I need an answer by tonight as to what to ship out and what to throw out.
